What kind of tile work do homes in Greer usually need?
Greer is split between older homes near the downtown core and newer builds out toward Pelham Road. That mix means we run two very different jobs here: full retiles on 1960s–80s baths where the mud bed has failed, and large-format floor work in newer open-plan homes.
On the older Greer housing stock we almost always recommend opening the shower down to studs rather than tiling over. A 40-year-old mud pan that looks fine on the surface is usually holding water in the wall — and tiling over it just buries the problem behind new tile.
